At the invitation of United Way Romania, sponsor of one of the most important projects of our foundation, the children from the vocal and dance group of JOYO Foundation performed in two artistic moments during the United Way Gala Romania. On this occasion, companies, organizations and volunteers who, through their involevement, have succedeed with United Way to change the lives of many disadvantaged people for the better, including the children from our day-care center have been awared.
This April, The Florian House Day center received the visit of a group of the Lions Club Bucharest members. The gifts they offered for the Easter Feast brought a great joy to the needy children, this act full of generosity being much appreciated.
“Lions Club” is the biggest worldwide club organization which serves the general interests of the collectivity having as goal to develop a climate of understanding, to promote competence and also to participate in the social and moral life of the society on the basis of civic principles.
December 11, 2010 – A group of 40 people with great hearts visited our Social Day Centre "Florian House" and brought gifts to the 50 children who attend it. This wonderful initiative, called “Casuta cu copii” (Children's Little House), belonged to Corina Buzoianu, who, together with her husband, were the soul of the whole action.We thank them very much and feel grateful towards all those who, on the brink of winter fests, offered a helping hand to the underprivileged children from our foundation. It was a great joy for them to meet those who prepared their gifts with so much care and love, at "Florian House", so, in turn, they offered a small show with carols and dances, assorted with many happy smiles.
This was a very special day for our children, who fully felt the warmth and solidarity of their new friends.

September 23, 2010 - Work visit of the representatives of the Social Emergency Service of the Helsinky Municipality, to our day centre “FLORIAN HOUSE”, during which the foundation's projects were presented and the children performed in a small artistic spectacle.
September 17, 2010 - Participation of our children to the anniversary of the Toys' Car - SOS Children's villages, our friends and partners
July - August 2010: 108 children, beneficiaries of the foundation's projects went this year in free camps at the sea side (Comorova - Neptun), in the mountains (Poiana Pinului) and in the Sarmisegetuza annual expedition, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport - The National Palace of Children and the Ministry of Justice.

May 21, 2010: Our children's visit to the Bucharest ZOO
Between the 8-th and 10-th of May 2010, we answered to the invitation of Bucharest General Direction of Social Assistance (DGASMB), by participating with it, to ONG Fest 2010 – the greatest annually festival of Romanian NGO’s. On this occasion, we have presented, next to a small exhibition of decorative objects, the foundation services’ offer and « School is on your side » - our common project with DGASM and ISMB, targeting the prevention of school drop-out in Bucharest schools.
March 2010: We started to unroll the "Compass" project, meant to sustain the single parents that confront with big socio-economical problems, in order to develop their parental abilities and overcome the crisis situations. They benefit of social and psychological counseling, as also of our support, wherever is necessary, so as to reintegrate in school, obtain a job or solve pressing issues that menace the family’s stability.
February 2010: The JOYO Foundation, in partnership with the General Direction of Social Assistance of Bucharest (DGASMB) and the School Inspectorate of Bucharest launched the project "School is on your side!" - a campain of school drop-out prevention. During the whole project, workshops dedicated to the children in risk of school drop-out will unfold. There will be discussions on the themes of school drop-out causes and consequences, children from the JOYO Foundation will narrate their personal experiences and modalities of school abandon prevention will be presented. The representatives of DGASMB and the JOYO Foundation will participate in periodical meetings with the teachers and school counselors from the schools involved in the project.
October 1, 2009: The children of the Foundation planned and performed in a show of dance, music and poetry in the Cismigiu Garden, on the occasion of the "International Day of Elderly Persons", in response to the invitation of the General Direction of Social Assistance of Bucharest.
September 29, 2009: The first activity of the FC JOYO Lions Club football teams - watching the international football game Unirea Urziceni – FC Stuttgart on the stadium.
September 25, 2009 : Participation of the children from our Day Centre to the event of ecological education "On the mountain paths" - the first activity organized in the frame of Bucharest Municipality project "We are informed, aware and protecting".
September 25, 2009 : The awarding ceremony of the contest « Where do we step on grass ? », officiated by the representatives of the Bucharest Municipality at the "Florian House". Samuel Petrut (from "School Is Cool 1" project) was awarded with the first prize (a Mountain Bike).
September 18, 2009: Participation of a group of children from the "Florian House" to the 7 years anniversary of the Toys' Car - SOS Children's villages, old colaborators of our Foundation.
September 13, 2009: The children of the Foundation planned and performed in a show of dance, music and poetry at the ZOO, on the occasion of "The Days of Bucharest at the ZOO", at the invitation of Bucharest Municipality - Direction of Environment Protection and Eco-Civic Education. The event was publicized in the press and on the national TV channels TVR1, TVR International and Antena 3.
